Arlo Metzger, Cheng Lab

My name is Arlo Metzger, and I am a rising senior at Colorado College originally from Brooklyn.  I'll be working with Dr. Joshua Cheng and Cornell Tech this summer on urban soils. At Colorado College I study biology, ecology, and biochemistry. I am fascinated by plants, adaptive evolution (specifically in urban environments), and how organisms can help address food and energy demands of the future. In my free time I enjoy playing bluegrass, making ceramics, fabrication, woodworking, cooking, and calisthenics. I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to do ecology research back in my hometown of Brooklyn.
