Madeline Frank, Zarnoch Lab

Hi, I’m Madeline Frank! I’m a rising sophomore at Boston College and I’m currently majoring in environmental geosciences. Growing up in New Hampshire, I learned at a young age to appreciate the world’s natural beauty and I am very passionate about being a good steward of the Earth. I hope to pursue a career in the exploration of different solutions to anthropogenic effects on the climate, specifically in regard to keeping our oceans clean. I love to be outside and spend my free time hiking, skiing, sailing, surfing, and playing tennis. In high school, I was involved in Students for Environmental Awareness and organized monthly beach cleanups for Blue Ocean Society. I plan to become more involved in BC’s Ecopledge club in the following year. This summer, I will be working in the Zarnoch lab to better understand how restoration projects impact urban shoreline ecosystems.
